In order to implement cross-domain learning and resource sharing, the three departments of the School of Social Sciences ( Department of Public Affairs and Administration, Department of Counseling, Clinical and Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Department of Criminal Justice) moved to the Taoyuan Campus in the 113th academic year, and the offices of the three departments are located in the atrium on the first floor of the Comprehensive Teaching Building (EE Building), and the classrooms for students are also concentrated in the Taoyuan Campus. Starting from the new semester, teachers and students of the Academy of Social Sciences will not only no longer have to climb the road to success, but will also be able to share learning resources with other departments. The relocation project, jointly planned by the Office of General Affairs, the Office of Academic Affairs, the Taoyuan Administrative Office and the School of Social Sciences, is expected to complete the renewal of the department’s offices, faculty research rooms, graduate research rooms and professional classrooms of the department this semester. LEE, JEANNE, director of the art center in charge of space planning, said that according to the overall relocation process, the adjustment of the department’s offices and classrooms has been completed, so that students, teachers and students can attend classes and negotiate with the public nearby. In the second phase, the faculty and graduate research laboratories will be inventoried, and the space for teachers to stay on campus after school will be provided, as well as an independent learning environment for graduate students. The third stage is to reshape the professional classrooms of the Academy of Social Sciences, such as the “Practice Council” that simulates the actual council scene, and the “Crime Prevention and Control Situation Teaching Hall” that displays technological surveillance and intelligent anti-theft systems. All relocation assignments are expected to be completed in the second semester of the 113th academic year.
In the face of the test of 19 classes and 4 master’s classes in the University Division of the School of Social Sciences, as well as the adjustment of classrooms, Provost Dr. Chia, Tsorng-Lin especially thanked the cooperation of all departments to enable the classes of the School of Social Sciences to smoothly integrate into the Taoyuan campus. In addition, regarding the social media communication of future general education courses will be adjusted to the Chenggong campus, the provost stressed that the university has no such plan at present, and all courses and classrooms on the Taoyuan campus have been scheduled this semester, and there is no need to adjust.
