The “JOY 2024 2nd Sustainable Happiness Creative Proposal Competition” sponsored by the China Happy Enterprise Happy People Association was organized by TSOU,JEN-CHUN, Chairman of the Association, CHENG,HSIANG-JU, Digital Chief of Nazhijie Automobile, LIN,I-FENG, Senior Manager of Hon Hai Company, and Knowledge Economy Development Researcher of Shih Hsin University WU,PEI-LING, an advisory committee member of the college, formed a review team and held the national finals on 12/12 (Thursday). This competition takes sustainable happiness and operation as the purpose of creative proposals, focusing on three aspects: economic growth, environmental protection, and social progress. Through thematic methods, creative and innovative thinking is encouraged, and one of the 17 core goals of the SDGs proposed by the United Nations is selected as the theme. The theme area, through the competition process, enhances the understanding and practical application of global sustainable development among young people, cultivates innovative thinking modes, emphasizes the sustainable creative actions brought about by digital technology transformation, and the ability of interpersonal communication, coordination and cooperation. In the second competition this year, a total of 43 proposals from high schools and colleges across the country went through the preliminary round, including student teams from five universities including Songshan Workers and Peasants, Ming Chuan University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taichung University of Science and Technology, and Jingyi University, entering the finals.
The participating students said that this was an important journey worth learning. Under the guidance of Teacher Shimei, they were able to move from classroom learning to care for the sustainability of the community environment around the university, use their creativity and organize and win awards, which added a new dimension to university life.
