Scams are rampant in Taiwan, with endless tricks, and now there are new tricks! A famous man in New Taipei City recently falsely claimed that he wanted to invest in Maokong B&B and invited his friends to invest together. My friend gave me the money, but he didn’t expect to get the profit yet, so he filed a fraud lawsuit. There are also people who mistakenly believed the lottery advertisements on the social networking platform (IG) and filled in their personal information to win the prize. Instead, they gave the other party more than 409,000 yuan. In the end, they found out that it was a scam.
