Ming Chuan University, in partnership with the Central Police University and the Criminal Investigation Bureau, jointly hosted an AI-powered crime prevention forum.

[This Publication’s Report] Ming Chuan University, in collaboration with the Central Police University and the Criminal Investigation Bureau, hosted the “2025 AI Technology Application in Crime Prevention Forum” at the Central Police University on November 26th. The forum brought together representatives from industry, government, and academia to exchange ideas on the latest applications of AI in crime prevention. The forum received strong support from President HUANG, MING-CHAO of the Central Police University and Director Chou Yu-wei of the Criminal Investigation Bureau, and attracted over 200 students from both universities.

The forum was Chancellor of MUC Global Education System Chuan Lee and President Huang Ming-chao of the Central Police University. The content focused on the practical application of AI technology in crime investigation and prevention, including smart surveillance, data analysis, AI-simulated crime scenes, and drone-based crime prevention. The event also included a visit for faculty and students to the Central Police University’s Smart Technology Crime Prevention Center to learn firsthand about the operation of the AI ​​drone squadron and the scenario-based teaching system. Chancellor of MUC Global Education System Chuan Lee, in his capacity as Chairman of the Chinese AI Drone Association, pointed out that the combination of AI and drones has gradually become a core technology for crime prevention and control in the new generation. Ming Chuan University has been actively promoting drone education and technological experiments in recent years, and looks forward to deepening cooperation with the National Police University and the Criminal Investigation Bureau in this field.

Ming Chuan University is also deepening its teaching and research in the fields of drones and AI technology. President Li Quan, in his capacity as Chairman of the Chinese AI Drone Association, expressed his hope that Ming Chuan University, the National Police University, and the Criminal Investigation Bureau will continue to deepen cooperation in related technological applications to jointly strengthen Taiwan’s technological crime prevention and control capabilities.

This forum was jointly planned by Ming Chuan University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the National Police University. Liangfu Security and Taiwan Tether Technology Co., Ltd. also participated in the discussion, sharing the latest developments in AI security and technological policing in the private sector. The forum also announced that an international symposium on “The Application and Challenges of AI in Crime Prevention” will be jointly held on March 20, 2026, to further strengthen cross-disciplinary cooperation.

Ming Chuan University and the National Police University have maintained long-term exchanges and interactions, with cooperation and exchanges beginning during the tenures of Presidents YEN,SHIH-HSI and Tsai,Te-Hui. In recent years, the interaction between the Department of Crime Prevention and the Police University faculty has become closer, with both sides jointly promoting public security research, human resource development, and technological application. It is hoped that this forum will further integrate resources from industry, government, and academia to contribute more to national security and talent cultivation.

Ming Chuan University and the Police University have a long-standing relationship, with exchanges dating back to the tenures of President YEN,SHIH-HSI and President Tsai,Te-Hui .Now, faculty interaction between the two universities is even more frequent.
